The purpose of the scholarship is to attract students from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including racial and ethnic backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in studies related to the transportation industry. The Oregon/SW Washington Chapter-COMTO Scholarship Program provides locally qualified minority students who are accepted or currently enrolled in a two or four year accredited institution of higher learning and studying in the field of transportation (i.e. aviation, highway, public administration/transportation, engineering, human resources, architecture, communications, government affairs, marketing, urban planning, art, etc.) with scholarship opportunities. A scholarship award may be granted up to $500 to students accepted/enrolled in a two-year accredited college or institution and up to $1,000 to students accepted/enrolled in a four-year college, institution, or university within the academic year. The Oregon/SW Washington Chapter-COMTO Scholarship Committee will review and consider applications on a case-by-case base. The Committee reserves the right to change the amount and/or number of scholarships awarded through the program.
Scholarship opportunity for 2016 is now closed.
